Hyperspectral Analysis

Hydrocarbons escaping from a reservoir move vertically under buoyancy forces. The hydrocarbons and other associated fluids produce a wide variety of chemical changes in the rocks through which they pass, and influence flora and fauna in surface soils. Subtle changes in the spectra of surface materials accompany many of these effects. Sophisticated spectral enhancement of high spatial & spectral resolution hyperspectral remote sensing data allows us to identify these differences in a variety of environments, ranging from deserts to the humid tropics.
